My style is representational, utilizing a glazing technique to build thin layers of oil paint to create a translucent effect that provides depth and emanates light from each painting.  

The subtle shifts of light and color, observed over time, become the foundation for the authentic mood and emotional depth within each work of art.

Artistic passion emerged early in life, shaped by an enduring fascination with the sea. My creative process is grounded in a quiet immersion within the surrounding environment, allowing the rhythms and atmosphere to influence each work.

The ocean is a powerful muse, providing an endless source of inspiration. Like the rise and fall of a crescendo, the sea bestows a feeling of increasing intensity, with a dramatic force that feels exhilarating, captivating and sometimes, terrifyingly beautiful! 

I’ve served seven years as Marketing Director and past President of Morro Bay Art Association. I’m currently represented by Gallery at Marina Square, Park Street Gallery and exhibit at Art Center Morro Bay. I’m aa active member of several local and professional art organizations, including Portrait Society of America and Oil Painters of America.
